In the Old Covenant, the strength of sin is the law. For where there is law, there is sin.

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Romans 6:14

In the New Covenant, Christ is the fulfillment of the law. So, there is no law under Grace. A Christian who believes in Christ is no longer under the law. Therefore, there is no power of sin over you.

Prepare ahead in faith

Whatever you sow, you will surely reap. The principle of harvest is such that you always reap in multiple proportions of whatever you sow. No one sows a seed and reaps a seed in return, it is always multiple seeds. Likewise, no one reaps without sowing, but by Grace, as planted by Christ.

The New Covenant Christian doesn't have his/her own righteousness that is like a filthy rag. S/he lives in the realm of God's Righteousness. That's the way of God in Christ Jesus.
