While you study, ask and trust the Holy Spirit to reveal the Person of the Word to you, which is, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Word and as you study, the Holy Spirit will reveal Him to you. Meditate on all you study and it will become clearer and brighter as you gain more understanding. (Jn 1:1, Jn 15:26)
Also, take time to pray because the operation of the Spirit can be likened to the effect of watering a seed in order to grow and bear forth fruits. Praying in the Holy Spirit (Tongues, especially) is really helpful. (Jude 1:20, Jn 7:37-39)
Ask questions. Ask the Holy Spirit for He is your Helper. Ask community of believers for we are all one body in Christ Jesus. (Jn 14:26, 15:26, 1Cor 12:12-13)
Above all, know that it is God that is working in you to will and do His good pleasure, causing you to grow in Grace and in the knowledge of Him. (2Pet 3:18, Phil 2:13)
It is all His Grace at work. ...
